The Zombie Mask!

Being The Walking Dead fan that I am, when I heard about this “zombie” mask that was on Amazon, you better believe I was on the 1-click buying option faster than Rick Grimes could draw his gun! And I’m gonna go ahead and put the link for it HERE because you’re gonna want this before you finish this post!

A Korean Beauty product, this mask is marketed as an 8-in-1 treatment that the manufacturers say will:

  1. Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
  2. Visibly lifts up your skin
  3. Clears small breakouts and acne
  4. Tighten enlarged pores
  5. Hydrate your skin deeply
  6. Improve skin texture by gently removing dead skin cells
  7. Balances the epidermis pH level
  8. Brightens your complexion

They also use the tagline (which I think is SO clever): “15 minutes of horror for 15 years younger looking skin!” And it’s true…there is no better way to scare my husband to death than to surprise him when I’m wearing this mask LOL!

So naturally, I had to try this mask out. It’s only $19.98 for 8 masks and for less than $2.50 a treatment, I think this is a steal! Let’s get into the all the details:

My before face. You don’t have to remember this one, I’ll post a comparison at the end! Don’t know what I was doing with my hand SMH.
There are 8 sets of these for the mask in the box. Plus a brush you use to mix and apply the mask with (which I of course forgot to photograph, but it is a nice brush!)
The little tubs contain a powder which I presume is the albumin portion of the mask that is supposed to work its wonders.
You add the activator liquid, which has a very thin consistency like water, and mix the too ingredients together until you have a smooth mixture with the provided brush. The compounding pharmacist in me just loves this part!!!
My face immediately after brushing the mask on.
After the mask has been on for 15 minutes! I see where the name “zombie” mask comes from!

So at this point, I cannot move my face whatsoever. It is locked in this position to a point I can barely talk! Which makes sense if you think about it…it’s main ingredient is albumin, which comes from eggs, so it’s kind of like a dried egg white on your face!

One really cool thing about this mask is that it is supposed to show you where your problem areas are and what they are. Cracked areas in the mask are supposed to be dry areas on your face. Areas that are bubbled up are areas where your skin has decreased elasticity. I have many of these bubbled areas so I am going to start researching products that will help improve the elasticity of my skin.

The after photo!
Before on the lest and after on the right!

So what do you guys think??? I think my skin looks brighter, has a more even tone, and I even think my fine lines look better, especially the ones on my forehead (I won’t count the ones around my eyes since I was smiling a bit in the first picture and because I did not apply it too close to my eyes).

There are only 2 potential things I can find that would cause someone to not love this product. 1) If you have an egg allergy, you may not be able to use this product. And 2) it does have a light smell so if you are very sensitive to smells, you may not like it. I did not find the smell bothersome and I actually kind of liked it!

I really love this mask! I have used it twice so far and I plan to continue to use it once or twice a week. It’s one of the best bang-for-your-buck masks I’ve come across and the results are for real! Not to mention the fact that its just really super cool. YEAH, SCIENCE!

If you want to try out this mask too (and I know you do!), you can get it HERE. It’s a prime product and worth every cent!
